Embedded Software Engineer

What are you going to do as an Embedded Software Engineer?

In this position you get the chance to work with advanced embedded systems and focus on the design, implementation as well as maintenance of the embedded software components. You will be welcomed in an ambitious team that loves to spend time on creative and innovative technological solutions.


You will:

  • design, implement and maintain embedded software components for embedded systems, according to specification, on state-of-the-art hardware and software platforms;
  • ensure software quality by design, unit testing and integration testing;
  • peer review the code of fellow team members (four eyes principle);
  • become an expert in specific areas, in line with your talents, interests and the requirements of the R&D roadmap;
  • come up with and implement your innovative ideas;
  • contribute to successful firmware releases of a large family of embedded systems, across multiple platforms;
  • meet project deadlines.

Are you someone with:

  • a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Embedded systems, Electrical Engineering or Physics;
  • several years of proven experience in software development for embedded devices or systems with good proficiency in programming C++;
  • experience with embedded (Real Time) Linux and/or Android system development?

  • are familiar with writing and debugging software that is directly controlling hardware devices;
  • have knowledge and understanding of object oriented software concepts;
  • have experience with working in an agile environment;
  • have a professional proficiency in English and Dutch.
