Do you enjoy turning innovative concepts into robust, scalable production processes? As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will contribute to the development of ultra-thin, flexible ultrasound devices, with the opportunity to become part of a deep-tech spin-off company.
What will you do?
You will be co-responsible for developing, optimizing and integrating production processes for next-generation printed and hybrid electronic devices. Working in a multidisciplinary team, you operate at the interface of materials science, process technology and microelectronics, and play a leading role in projects with international industrial partners.
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing and optimizing the electronics of custom-built flexible ultrasound solutions, including Quality Control procedures.
- Integrating printed functionality with conventional components such as chips, piezo material and LEDs, while maintaining device thinness and flexibility.
- Solving complex upscaling and manufacturing challenges, including manufacturing infrastructure, equipment and tooling design.
- Taking technical responsibility for the manufacturing process in collaboration with international industrial and research partners.
- Working closely with customers and partners to align technical and operational progress with project and business objectives.
- Analyzing experimental and manufacturing data, identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions to meet manufacturing volume targets.
- Contributing to knowledge building, best practices and technology roadmaps, and acting as a senior technical sparring partner within the team.
What do we expect from you?
You are an experienced electronics engineer with a strong manufacturing or operational background in microelectronics. You combine a very hands-on approach with analytical and proactive thinking, and you enjoy working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
In addition, you have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a comparable technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in microelectronics development, manufacturing or operational environments.
- Experience with printed electronics is a strong plus; experience with ultrasound devices is a plus.
- Strong skills in data processing, analysis and interpretation, and the ability to clearly communicate results.
- Experience working in collaborative projects with industrial partners or customers.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- A proactive, structured and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to take ownership and lead technical challenges.
- The flexibility to thrive in a start-up environment: less structured, financially constrained and high pressure/high reward,with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor.
Working as a Senior Electronics Engineer through ENTER
Through ENTER, you will work for a leading research and innovation organization that develops breakthrough technologies together with industrial partners. These technologies improve people’s lives and help address global societal challenges.
Within this role, you will work on printed electronics that enable ultra-thin, flexible, stretchable and low-cost electronic devices for medical and wearable applications, photonics and advanced chip packaging. One of these is a flexible ultrasound transducer technology that will form the basis of a spin-off company, planned to launch within the next 12 months.
As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in translating this technology into robust and scalable production processes, in close collaboration with industrial, medical and defense clients. In the future, you may join the spin-off as one of its first team members: a company in progress where you step up, get your hands dirty and help shape its success.
As an ENTER colleague you can of course expect a lot from us as well
- A driven team and an inspiring working environment where our motto #techwithaheartbeat is at the heart of our company!
- Driven and enthusiastic colleagues;
- Lots of room for growth and development;
- Cutting edge hightech projects;
- A gross monthly salary between €4850,- and €6200,- based on your background and experience;
