What you are going to do as Space Mission Control Lead

As a Space Mission Control Lead , you’ll lead the charge in developing, testing, and delivering cutting-edge satellite ground systems and mission
payload systems. Working closely with talented developers, forward-thinking customers, and mission-driven teams, you will:

  • Define and Manage Requirements: Shape the future of ground systems by collaborating with stakeholders to define
    software, hardware, processes and procedure needs.
  • Design & Deliver: Oversee the design, integration, and deployment of large-scale systems that
    meet mission critical requirements.
  • Develop & Implement: Create plans and procedures for software and hardware integration into mission-critical systems including simulators and flat-sat systems.
  • Oversee Testing: Lead integrated systems test events including mission simulations to verify systems and procedures prior to launch.
  • Support On-Orbit Operations: Developing material to train operations teams and provide support to launch, early operations, nominal and contingency operations, testing and overall mission success.
  • Drive Collaboration: Build strong relationships with customers, teammates and stakeholders, driving innovation and excellence at every step. 

 

Are you someone with:

  • 5+ years experience in ground systems, software design, or related fields.
  • Experience in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
  • Experience in comfortably communicating technical details verbally and in writing.
  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical or similar engineering, or a related technical field.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Experience in ground systems and mission operations for operational small-sat spacecraft missions.
  • Expertise in UAV ISR mission areas.
  • Experience with MoD (Ministry of Defense) systems and stakeholders.

Our customer

You will be working for our customer, who is at the forefront of space mission design. They focus on three areas: Space Systems Engineer, Critical Asset Security; and Moddeling, Simulation and Analysis. They use their experience to collaborate and offer more expertice to civil, defense, and commercial customers in the Netherlands and US.
