What are you going to do as Project Manager?

We need you as a Project Manager to be part of our interdisciplinary team to investigate photonics technologies which can be used for creating innovative health solutions. In this team, you will work next to biomedical, electrical, software, algorithm engineers and physicists. By joining us you will be responsible for project management within the Photonics for Health Program and for streamlining the milestones and deliverables of related projects within the program.

Your tasks will include:

  • Interact with program management, scientific leaders and other project leaders to capture priorities and translate these into activities and timelines.
  • Contribute to the definition of new project-proposals and work with program management and business developers to align customer’s needs with project execution.
  • Effectively track progress and budget of the R&D project(s) you are leading and manage reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Streamline your projects and the other projects in the program in terms of planning and budget.
  • Prepare deliverables according to agreed customer timelines and report on progress internally and to customers.
  • Represent us at external project progress reporting meetings.

Are you someone with...

  • BSc, MSc or PhD in a technical field such as electronic engineering, physics, mechanical engineering or biomedical engineering.
  • At least 8 years of demonstrated project management skills in an international R&D environment.
  • Multitasker, with very strong organizational skills, who makes things happen. 
  • Strong communication skills and experience in broad stakeholder management.
  • Experience in in med-tech, medical device technologies or in other relevant sensor technologies.
  • Experience managing (public) funded projects is a plus. 
  • You can deal with ambiguity, make decisions and take the project team along.
  • You have a hands-on mentality and an eagerness to learn.  
  • You communicate effectively in English in an international and multidisciplinary environment
