Do you want to make an impact in the field of Mechnical Engineering within the High-Tech domain?
And do you want to contribute to innovative hightech projects that help our customers build up a lasting lead in the world of technology? While at the same time you will be working for a company where you and your personal development are our priority? Then you are the candidate we are looking for!

What are you going to do as a Senior Mechanical Engineer?

In this role, you will work within a multidisciplinary team of top‑tier engineers, pushing the boundaries of motion control accuracy, cost-of-goods, thermal stability, dynamic behavior, and mechanical robustness. As a senior professional, you will provide technical guidance and coaching to less experienced engineers, acting as a knowledge expert within projects. This is not a people management role; however, strong technical seniority, expertise, and the ability to support peers are essential.

You will join an expanding engineering project team of approximately 35 engineers and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across the business.

The role will support an ongoing redesign project running until March 2027, alongside several additional product improvement and renewal projects currently in progress. You will have the freedom to innovate, the responsibility to lead, and the opportunity to influence products that shape the semiconductor industry worldwide.

Your Responsibilities

  • Mechanical design of high‑precision modules and systems used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Translate system requirements into robust mechanical concepts, detailed designs, and validated solutions.
  • Develop, review, and support the team to create cost, mass and accuracy critical modules and parts.
  • Perform complex analyses (e.g., FEM, thermal, vibration, dynamics) to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Interpret FEM reports and incorporate analytical findings into design improvements and engineering decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with mechatronics, electronics, optics, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Drive continuous improvement—in design quality, development processes, and product performance.
  • Ensure your designs remain manufacturable, cost‑effective, and compliant with industry standards.
  • Provide technical support and knowledge sharing to peers within project teams, helping to ensure engineering excellence and best practices.
  • Occasionally travel internationally to support projects and collaborate with global teams and manufacturing sites, including locations in Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Are you someone with

  • A Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline such as Mechatronics Engineering or Robotics Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design within the semiconductor, high‑precision, robotics, or mechatronics domain.
  • Proven experience with 3D CAD tools (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, Creo) and simulation software. Experience with NX is strongly preferred, as NX is the primary CAD platform used at Nexperia.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and expertise in precision engineering principles.
  • Ability to understand and interpret FEM analysis results and translate them into practical design improvements.
  • A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide and support peers through technical expertise, knowledge sharing, and hands-on engineering experience.
  • A structured, quality‑driven approach to engineering challenges.
